I. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

A. Information You Give Us Directly

• Account Information: Your full name, phone number, email address, date of birth, and a secure password.
• Family Linking Information: When you invite a family member to your Circle, we collect their phone number.
• Payment Information: To facilitate our rewards feature, you may provide a payment identifier (e.g., Venmo username).
• Feedback Information: If you submit feedback, we collect your submission content, rating, and selected category.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

• Location and Movement Information: With your permission, we collect precise geolocation data, speed, altitude, and heading from your device during active trips.
• Driving Event and Motion Activity Information: We use your device's motion sensors to detect driving events such as harsh braking, rapid acceleration, sharp cornering, speeding, and phone handling.
• Automatic Trip Detection Data: We use low-power motion activity data from your device's operating system to automatically start and stop trip monitoring.
• Device Information: We collect basic device information, including device identifiers, operating system, and IP address.

II. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

• To Provide the Service: To record trips, calculate driving scores, display trip histories, facilitate family linking, and process rewards.
• To Analyze and Improve Driving Safety: To provide you and your linked family members with insights and summaries about driving behavior.
• For Research and Development: We use aggregated and anonymized data to understand user engagement and develop new features.
• To Communicate With You: To send account verification codes, service-related notifications, and respond to your requests.
• For Safety and Security: To verify accounts, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.

III. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose your information to the following parties:

• To Others in Your Circle: You may choose to disclose your location, driving event data, and trip summaries with linked family members.
• Service Providers: We may disclose your information to vendors who help us provide our Services, including Supabase (backend), Firebase (notifications), PhoneNumberKit (phone validation), and Mapbox (maps).
• Payment Processors: We share necessary information with services like Venmo to facilitate reward payments.
• Business Transactions: Your information may be transferred if we sell or divest the company.
• Law Enforcement and Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Driva, our users, or the public.

IV. YOUR CHOICES ABOUT YOUR INFORMATION

• Permissions: You can manage app permissions at any time through your device's settings.
• Automatic Trip Detection: You can enable or disable this feature in the app's settings.
• Data Access and Correction: You have the right to request access to and correction of your personal data.
• Account Deletion: You may request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data through the app's settings. This action is irreversible.

V. DATA RETENTION

We retain your data for as long as your account is active to provide historical insights. We may delete data associated with accounts inactive for over 24 months. Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed.

VI. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER

Your information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your jurisdiction. Your consent to this Privacy Policy represents your agreement to that transfer.
